Inspired by Chinese flying lanterns, the Celestial lamp is a very graphic suspension, infinitely adjustable in plain colors or two colors.
It can thus be arranged alone or in a cluster, or adapted as a lamp to be placed in a reading version.
Licked by light, the metal cone of the celestial lamp is the essential element of it. Unlike the hammering, historical technique used to form metal on a form, the objective here was to get a smooth and steady surface to drive the light. The spinning technique used for this lamp is a metal working process by which a metal disc is rotated at high speed. This is not to remove material, as in the case of the wood lathe, but to form a sheet of metal on an existing form with great precision.
Dimensions : diameter 160 mm x H. 120 mm
